RCCH is seeking proposals from a qualified architecture firm to provide services for the restoration of the Sacred Hearts Mission Church located at 500 Office Rd in Lahaina, Hawaii. The church is currently being used as a temporary school facility due to the Maui wildfires. Once the school is relocated to another site, the church will need to be restored to its original intent. The selected firm will be responsible for identifying areas for renovation and restoration, exploring options for expanding bathroom facilities, designing landscape improvements, and creating new church signage.

Project Background

The Sacred Hearts Mission Church is located in the Kapalua area of Maui and serves as a place of worship and community gathering. The church has also been serving as the temporary school campus for Sacred Hearts School which suffered losses as a result of the Maui wildfires.

Scope of Work

The selected design firm shall provide the following services:

1. Main church building and surrounding hardscape areas

   1. Conduct a thorough assessment of the facility to identify areas for renovation and restoration.

   2. Provide Construction Drawings and specifications for selected work.

2. Bathroom Facilities

   1. Explore options for expanding existing bathroom facilities.

   2. Provide Construction Drawings and specifications for selected bathroom improvements

3. Landscape Design

   1. Restoration of church grounds
